European Parliament Tour

We have an old favourite to offer you in Spring 2008: The European Parliament in Strasbourg departing on Sunday 20 April and returning on Friday 25 April 2008. Our first 2 nights will be spent in the romantic city of Paris and will include a boat trip on the River Seine.

On the Tuesday we move on to Rastatt in Germany, a little under 1 hour from Strasbourg, where we will pay our official visit to the European Parliament on Wednesday. That evening we will have a dinner with wine sponsored by Robert Evans MEP, our host and then return to our hotel.

On Thursday we head back into France to St. Omer where we will see the local sights. That evening we will have a farewell meal (with surprises) and the next morning go to the famous WWII Rocket Launching site at Le Blockhaus d'Eperlecques nearby.

Then back to Blighty with the usual stop at a Hypermarket near Calais for shopping/lunch and thence to London via the Eurotunnel. We should arrive home early evening on Friday.

Meet opposite London Euston Station for 10.00 am departure by coach to Folkestone where we will take the Eurotunnel over to Calais. Continue towards Paris, our base for the next two nights.

Depart for Strasbourg (less than 1 hr drive) and a visit to the European Parliament including meeting MEPs and seeing a debate. Sponsored dinner by Robert Evans MEP. Return to Rastatt.

We leave Germany heading back into France and on to St. Omer for our final overnight stay. This evening there will be a farewell meal.

After breakfast we depart for a visit to 'Le Blockhaus d'Eperlecques' at 10.00 hours before continuing to the Hypermarket near Calais for shopping. After some free time, drive on to Calais for the return Eurotunnel to Folkestone and on to London for an early evening arrival.
